Our personnel and supervisors have extensive experience in the performance and management of demolition and asbestos removal works (involving residential, industrial, commercial and government projects) in the Hunter, Lake Macquarie and regional NSW.

Under the Work Health and Safety Regulations (NSW)2017, works involving the demolition of structures and asbestos removal are defined as high risk construction works, and require relevant performance by expert contractors who are necessarily licensed and compliant with obligations under complex legislation. Further, such works invariably require compliance with legislative obligations associated with the disposal of waste (including asbestos) generally.

Further, all of our demolition and asbestos removal works are expertly planned and performed under staged workplans, SWMS, Hazardous Substances Management Plans and other compliance documents in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act (NSW) 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulations (NSW) 2017, AS2601- 2000 The Demolition of Structures, the Demolition Work Code of Practice and both Asbestos Codes of Practice as published by SafeWork NSW.

For these purposes, our principal demolition and asbestos removal supervisor was recently engaged as demolition coordinator and manager in relation to the extensive demolition works program implemented by the NSW Government in response to the devastating Northern Rivers floods in 2022. He necessarily was required to ensure that the substantial nature and extent of demolition works were extensively planned and properly performed noting issues of safety, compliance timeframes, budget and stakeholder engagement.
